Here’s How you can be productive by using these shortcuts in Google Apps in 2022

Google apps

Gmail

  1. ; → expand all threads in a conversation
  2. Shift+ ;→ to collapse all threads
  3. R → reply to the latest thread
  4. J → go to next mail
  5. K → go to previous mail
  6. G + I → inbox
  7. G + S → open starred mail
  8. G + A → open all mail
  9. G + T → open sent items
  10. G + L → search for any label
  11. G + C → open contacts in new tab
  12. V → move to a label [in mail view]
  13. C — compose a new mail
  14. Settings→inbox→reading pane — Setup reading pane to view mail list and specific mail

Calendar

  1. A — agenda view
  2. G — go to specific date
  3. W — show weekly
  4. M — show monthly
  5. Y — show yearly
  6. C — create new event
  7. T — show current date in week view

Gdocs

  1. Version history — File→version history
  2. The link to download the document as a pdf — Change the url as /export?format=pdf
  3. Auto replace the text — Tools→preferences→substitutions
  4. Send docs as email instead of sending files — File→email→email this file→[tick]send email to yourself, fill [to:email id], message, [don’t tick]don’t attack include content in the email
  5. Format line to small, capital, capitalise — Format →text capitalisation→then choose
  6. Make copy directly — Change url to /copy when you send the link, recipient can download the file
  7. Visualise ideas using drawings
  8. Insert→drawing→new
  9. Search google using explore
  10. Ctrl+shift+. → increase the size of text
  11. Ctrl+shift+, → decrease the size of text
  12. Search using ctrl+f → search the word→ esc→word is automatically selected, so you can edit directly
  13. *(star) space → create bullet point
  14. -[dash] space → dashed bullet point
  15. [] + space → to create checklist
  16. Ctrl + [ → to indent
  17. Ctrl + ] → undent

Open new [type following in your browser to quick access]

  1. doc.new → new google doc
  2. sheets.new → new google sheet
  3. deck.new or slide.new → new google slide
  4. form.new → new google form
  5. note.new → new keep note
  6. cal.new → new calendar event
  7. meet.new → new meeting
  8. task.new →create new task in Asana
  9. notion.new → create new notion page

Gslides

  1. Insert img using explore button
  2. Double click the image to crop
  3. Click the crop button to convert the rectangular image to circular, triangles etc..
  4. Send slides in presentation mode — replace edit with present in url
  5. Google sans → google font
  6. Use google sans font type by copying the text in google sans font and paste it wherever you want
  7. Search type:pdf, owner:me

Gsheets

  1. Repeat previous step — F4
  2. Shift+space → select entire row
  3. Alt + i →
  4. R — to add row above
  5. B — to add row below
  6. Add formula to entire column → formulated value in a cell + Ctrl +Shift+ down arrow → select entire column and ctrl + D

Gdrive tips

  1. C — create(folders, files, doc, slides, etc..) show options
  2. V — change to list or grid
  3. GP — to go back
  4. . → share
  5. N → rename
  6. S → star
  7. Shift + → — extend selection
